Here at The Farmers Arms, we have a relaxed style of service so we only take bookings for groups larger than 20 otherwise we welcome guests to just come on down and enjoy.

If you are particularly keen on a table we would highly recommend you visit as early as possible.

On the off chance there are no tables, we’re more than happy to set you up at the bar so you can have a drink whilst we find a table for you shortly.

  • Heard good things about the Framers Arms so went for dinner and found the food lives up to it's reputation. Select your table and order your drinks and food from the bar. There are 2 large chalk boards either side of the bar that is the menu. We shared the Pork Terrine which came with chutney, cornichons, and crisp breads - very good. Then it was the Venison Ragu for my partner, while I had the pie of the day, Beef Bourguignon, which came with a bowl of chips and a small salad. Both were large portions! My pie was excellent, tender chunks of meat and vegetables in a concentrated sauce. Good selection of beers and wine, though the wines are not inexpensive. Recommended.
