About Us

These days, The Farmers Arms offers a perfect blend of country charm combined with a sophisticated menu, extensive wine list and professional service. Our clientele is a great mix of locals and visitors who mingle very well and very happily together.

While it is a more relaxed style of service, with people coming to the bar to order food & drinks, the menu itself is far from your typical pub menu.  Each dish has been carefully considered by our Executive Chef and our menu changes regularly depending on the season and the local produce available.  That said, the pub also has the tradition of the Friday night meat raffle where we raise money for local charities.

The outside of The Farmers Arms remains virtually untouched, while the inside has been updated without destroying the true pub atmosphere.  The layout of the pub’s interior allows people to sit in several different areas: from traditional seating to around the bar, at high tables, in our more intimate cushioned booths, at our three long communal tables and of course, the beer garden - where your pets are welcome to join you!

We have worked very hard at building the business into what we believe is a warm and friendly environment with fantastic food and beverage where we get to see people return on a regular basis, some on a daily basis and many several times a week.

The friendly owners warmly welcome you to drop by and say 'hi' as we love the banter with our loyal locals and the great enjoyment we get through hosting groups large and small, from corporate meetings to family catch ups, and the many people visiting our beautiful town.

Our opening hours are from 12 midday -11pm, 7 days a week with lunch from 12 midday-3pm and dinner orders from 5:30pm-9pm.

  • Another local hotspot we were told was a must, was the Farmers Arms. We went expecting high quality pub food, and it didn’t disappoint. The decor is funky and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly - though we found this to be the case everywhere we went in this town. We were really hungry, so we ordered an entree and a main, which was a mistake, as the servings were so generous, we struggled to get through the mains. The menu is really diverse and there is something to cater for the most discerning tastebuds. I would have expected this type of food in a fancy restaurant, so it was great to have such choice in a pub.
