About Us

These days, The Farmers Arms offers a perfect blend of country charm combined with a sophisticated menu, extensive wine list and professional service. Our clientele is a great mix of locals and visitors who mingle very well and very happily together.

While it is a more relaxed style of service, with people coming to the bar to order food & drinks, the menu itself is far from your typical pub menu.  Each dish has been carefully considered by our Executive Chef and our menu changes regularly depending on the season and the local produce available.  That said, the pub also has the tradition of the Friday night meat raffle where we raise money for local charities.

The outside of The Farmers Arms remains virtually untouched, while the inside has been updated without destroying the true pub atmosphere.  The layout of the pub’s interior allows people to sit in several different areas: from traditional seating to around the bar, at high tables, in our more intimate cushioned booths, at our three long communal tables and of course, the beer garden - where your pets are welcome to join you!

We have worked very hard at building the business into what we believe is a warm and friendly environment with fantastic food and beverage where we get to see guests return on a regular basis, some on a daily basis and many several times a week.

The friendly owners warmly welcome you to drop by and say 'hi' as we love the banter with our loyal locals and the great enjoyment we get through hosting groups large and small, from corporate meetings to family catch ups, and the many people visiting our beautiful town.

Our opening hours are from 12 midday -11pm, 7 days a week with lunch from 12 midday-3pm and dinner orders from 5:30pm-9pm.

  • My partner and I decided to visit the Farmers Arms on our first night in Daylesford. We enjoyed the beef cheek bao buns for entree, the eye fillet and pork belly for main and they were nice. My pork belly had the perfect crispness on top, however the pork was consistently dry throughout. My partner could not fault the eye fillet and so perhaps my pork was a one-off.

The drink menu had a superb range of local craft beers and wines to choose from, accompanied by a nice beer garden, it’s great for a summer afternoon/evening.
